Globalstar was one of the first companies to introduce an innovative Wi-Fi hotspot that would allow people to use their smartphones beyond the range of cellular service. To start a conversation about the Globalstar Sat-Fi, the Peter Mayer public relations team developed a strategy that would deliver earned media in both key verticals as well as tech publications. The centerpiece of this push was a world exclusive with WIRED Magazine, with its 16 million unique visitors per month, to first review the Sat-Fi. They followed that up with features in Engadget, Slash Gear, Tech Times, Boating Magazine, Ocean Navigator, Sport Fishing Magazine, Tom’s Hardware and several other publications.
