Peter Mayer weighs in on Super Bowl ads

With cheers still echoing in the corridors of Cowboys Stadium, two Peter Mayer staffers headed through the predawn morning to the studios of FOX 8 WVUE-TV to discuss the good, the bad and the ugly of ads that aired during Super Bowl XLV.

Vice President/Group Creative Director Eddie Snyder and Public Relations Sr. Account Executive Andrew Nelson agreed that Volkswagen of America stole the show with “The Force,” created by advertising agency Deutsch LA for the Volkswagen Passat. Snyder and Nelson also gave high marks to “Imported from Detroit,” the 120-second spot for Chrysler by Wieden+Kennedy. They counted Coca-Cola and Audi among this year’s Super failures.
