Peter Mayer, Louisiana’s largest advertising agency, was recently recognized by the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) with the Emerging Growth Company Award at ACG’s annual awards dinner May 15, 2012. The Emerging Growth Company Award is given each year to a company with revenues of less than $100 million, at least three years of growth, exemplary leadership and a high level of community involvement.
Peter Mayer’s growth has been strategic and steady. By growing existing accounts and winning new ones, Peter Mayer has stepped up its recruitment process and standards to ensure that it continues to add to its staff of 200 thinkers, planners, builders, creators and brand stewards. Peter Mayer now fills three buildings in downtown New Orleans, a far cry from the three employees that started the agency in 1967.
“Peter Mayer Advertising’s growth is the result of hard work, a relentless drive to be the best in the business and recognizing opportunities in an ever-changing landscape,” said Scott T. Whittaker, a corporate attorney with Stone Pigman law firm and president of ACG Louisiana.
Through inspired campaigns like “Opportunity Louisiana” for Louisiana Economic Development and “Be the One” for Women of the Storm, Peter Mayer’s work has helped to rebuild post-Katrina New Orleans. In addition to the client work Peter Mayer delivers, the agency and its employees donate time, money and efforts to numerous nonprofits. Currently, as a sponsor of the Louisiana SPCA’s Paws on Parade public art project, Peter Mayer is displaying its commitment to the LA/SPCA on the sidewalk outside its headquarters at 324 Camp Street.
“The Emerging Growth Company Award is an exciting accomplishment for Peter Mayer,” says Mark Mayer, president of Peter Mayer. “From humble beginnings, we’ve achieved much, and we will continue to work to deliver results for our clients and innovate in this time of great change in the marketing industry.”
