Silly games, good eats and philanthropy at agency crawfish boil

Spring is a good season at Peter Mayer. You get to wear shorts to work twice (If you want.) Once for “Everyone-gets-a-ticket-to-Jazz-Fest! Day” and once for the annual crawfish boil.

For the past 32 years, we have closed early on a spring Friday to spend the afternoon eating crawfish, enjoying an Abita (or three), and playing ridiculous games. This year, teams dove through a baby pool of shaving cream, pinned 150 clothespins to a coworker, carried soda cans via spaghetti noodles and played real, live “Angry Birds.”

Along the way, we also ate 400 lbs. of crawfish and 200 lbs. of Gulf Shrimp and raised more than $500 for the LA/SPCA.
