Peter Mayer’s Media department recently researched, reviewed and analyzed the upcoming fall broadcast TV schedule. Three distinct trends are evident: a renewed emphasis on aggressively programming Friday nights with both promising new series and established hits; the return of high-profile, “buzzy” network dramas, many of which are targeting hard-to-reach male viewers; and reboots and updates of several TV favorites, including Hawaii Five-O, La Femme Nikita and The Defenders.
A total of 24 new series will premiere this fall, while 13 existing shows will return on new days or in new time slots. Some of the new entrants that have caught the attention of our Media team are The Event, Outsourced, Running Wilde and the previously mentioned Hawaii Five-O.
These results, as well as strategies, statistics and the inside scoop will be shared with existing and prospective clients in a detailed presentation that includes clips of new shows. Official premiere week begins September 20.
