Audubon Nature Institute Responds to Oil Spill

Peter Mayer client Audubon Nature Institute and affiliated Louisiana Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Rescue Program (LMMSTRP) are helping animals affected by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Experts anticipate that the animal most affected by the oil spill crisis will be the endangered Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle. LMMSTRP is the only organization authorized to rescue marine mammals and sea turtles. Audubon is working closely with other organizations to monitor the situation and to prepare for the arrival of stranded and injured marine wildlife. Additionally, Audubon has partnered with locally owned Fleurty Girl t-shirts; 100% of the proceeds from the sale of “Rescue Me” t-shirts go to LMMSTRP.
