Peter Mayer Wins High Honors For Online Advertising and Interactive Media

Agency awarded for Entergy’s 2006 Online Annual Report, EndBitterness.com, Why You Teach website and New Orleans Saints SuperFan website

NEW ORLEANS (May 19, 2008)– Peter A. Mayer Advertising Inc., Louisiana’s largest full-service advertising agency, recently received high honors from the Hermes Creative Awards, the Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards and the Horizon Interactive Awards. The agency won a Platinum Hermes Award for creative achievement, as well as five IAC Awards honoring excellence in online advertising, and three Horizon Interactive Awards recognizing outstanding achievements in interactive media.

The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals. It is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. For their work on Entergy’s 2006 Online Annual Report, Peter A. Mayer Advertising received the highest honor – the Platinum Hermes Award – in the “E-Annual Report” category. There was only one other Platinum winner in the category.

IAC Awards are awarded to advertisements that the judges rate as best in each category defined by industry and medium. Peter A. Mayer Advertising won four top awards: Best Beverage Microsite/Landing Page for Luzianne Coffee’s EndBitterness.com (www.endbitterness.com); Best Education Integrated ad campaign for Why You Teach website (www.whyyouteach.org); Best Employment Integrated ad campaign for Why You Teach; and Best Sports Integrated ad campaign for New Orleans Saints SuperFan website (www.saintssuperfan.com). For their New Orleans Saints SuperFan Microsite/Landing Page, the agency also won an Outstanding Advertising Award, which is the second-highest honor.

The Horizon Interactive Awards is a prestigious international competition that honors the most talented developers of interactive media. Projects are judged on their creativity and functionality. For their work on the Why You Teach web campaign, Peter A. Mayer Advertising won a Gold Award in the category of Advertising Online. The agency also won Silver and Bronze Awards in the Flash and Entertainment categories for their interactive work on the New Orleans Saints SuperFan website.
