NEW ORLEANS (March 23,2009) – Peter A. Mayer Advertising Inc., Louisiana’s largest full-service advertising agency, won 48 ADDY Awards at the industry’s annual gala held on March 13. Peter A. Mayer Advertising took home more than half of the gold awards given in this year’s competition.
The local ADDY Awards are part of the American Advertising Federation’s national recognition program. It honors excellence in advertising and cultivates the highest creative standards in the industry. Local winners will proceed to 14 regional competitions. Those winners, in turn, proceed to the national finals.
Louisiana’s advertising elite gathered at Pat O’s on the River in the French Quarter to applaud as Peter A. Mayer Advertising earned 18 gold awards and 26 silver awards for their work for a host of prestigious clients that ranged from the Audubon Nature Institute to Reily Foods.
The work for the Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism was the agency’s biggest winner, with a total of 13 awards for that work alone.
The agency garnered two prestigious Best of Show Awards: TV Best of Show for Sam Houston Race Park’s “Restaurant” commercial and Interactive Best of Show for Louisiana SPCA’s ComeStayHeal.org. The agency also received the Judges Award for “Cool Concept” for the Audubon Nature Institute’s Insectarium Comic Strips. The list of gold and silver awards follows:
