Peter Mayer announces two new hires

Peter Mayer today announced it hired two new employees in February, continuing the growth pattern that started nearly a year ago.

“These new hires will help us to continue to achieve results for our clients, which is the constant goal at this agency,” said Mark A. Mayer, agency president.

Walt Barron has been hired as Vice President, Strategy Director. Walt comes from McKinney in Durham, N.C., where he was group strategy director, handling accounts such as Nationwide Insurance, Sherwin-Williams and Virgin Mobile. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Davidson College and a master’s degree in communications from the Virginia Commonwealth University Brandcenter.

Peter Mayer announces five new hires

Peter Mayer today announced it has hired five new employees since mid-December, continuing a rapid increase in the company’s ranks that started in early 2011.

“We’re investing in new talent that will allow us to better meet the growing specialized needs of our clients,” said Mark A. Mayer, agency president.

Erin Durbin has been hired as a Digital Account Executive. Erin comes from Baltimore, where she was the communications coordinator for the Carson Scholars Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to recognizing academic achievement in America’s young men and women. Assistant Broadcast Buying Supervisor Maranda White was recently recognized by the Baton Rouge chapter of Women in Media as its Member of the Year. The professional networking organization is comprised of women from various facets in the Baton Rouge media business including radio, television, marketing, public relations and promotions.
