Peter Mayer Advertising experts talk Super Bowl ads on WWL-TV


Advertising professionals from Peter Mayer appeared in-studio on WWL-TV to assess Super Bowl ads the morning after the big game on New Orleans’ CBS TV station. Peter Mayer’s Chief Creative Officer, Josh Mayer, and Interactive Media Director, Jeremy Braud, appeared with news anchor Eric Paulsen and discussed the Audi and Hyundai spots, among others. While also generating lots of online chatter on social media channels like Twitter, Mayer and Braud felt the GoDaddy.com spot was a great example of advertising that provided shock value and reaction but not necessarily reaction that effectively sells the brand. Codemkrs SUPER Challenge = Success


More than 50 code developers and designers spent the weekend at Peter Mayer’s office to work around the clock on a hack-a-thon competition to build the best apps for Super Bowl XLVII. The coders developed eight apps. All apps were presented to a panel of judges, which included political strategists James Carville and Mary Matalin.

First place went to an app that shows users which nearby restaurants have available seating. Second place went to an app that identifies live music taking place in real time across the city. Third place went to an app that allows live music fans to tip performers through electronic payments on their smartphones.
