Peter Mayer welcomes spring interns

Peter Mayer’s 2011 Spring Internship Program is under way, and the agency is proud to welcome the program’s three participants:

Abbey Brandon – Public Relations Intern
Abbey Brandon joins the Public Relations department with a communication and journalism background from Loyola University, New Orleans. Brandon is a New Orleans native with professional experience in Washington, D.C. As a video intern for The Washington Independent, an online publication, she covered press conferences in the White House and Newseum, as well as debates hosted by political think tanks.

Courtney Harper – Account Service Intern
Courtney Harper is working with Account Service teams for Whitney Bank, Reily Foods and the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism. Harper graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Business in December 2010. Her philanthropic experience can be seen in the promotional campaigns she led for Teach For America and in her work for Bridge Communications, where she produced a campaign for the nonprofit economic development organization.

Glynn Kaplan – Account Service Intern
Glynn Kaplan has joined the Louisiana Economic Development and Zatarain’s account service teams. Kaplan is currently studying marketing and Spanish at Tulane University, where she is expected to graduate in May. She has experience with brand promotion, designing marketing plans and analyzing market research through numerous internships, including The Pactor Group, News Living, and Yaffe|Deutser in her hometown of Houston.
