April 2013 was to be the 71^st and final reunion for the Doolittle Raiders, the group of American pilots who responded after Pearl Harbor. To commemorate this historic gathering of war heroes, the Peter Mayer PR team coordinated and publicized a weekend of events including flights aboard B-25 bombers, anniversary reunion events at Eglin Air Force Base and aerial tours of the Emerald Coast. In addition to more than 700 news stories and a PR value of $1.6 million, we were able to secure a 2-minute FOX News feature segment that reached millions of viewers and earned us an HSMAI Platinum Adrian Award.
